Factor One: Legal Typing Experience

In our decade of providing legal services in Canada, we’ve learned a valuable lesson: experience counts. Our team of experts allows us to consistently deliver on time and get things right the first time.

Every member of our legal transcription team brings a minimum of five years of experience, either as a legal secretary or as a court typist. We adhere to strict selection criteria and have ongoing testing and training of our team. We believe that when it comes to legal projects, skill and experience are of paramount importance, and we make sure we have them both.

Factor Two: Transcript Accuracy

Our commitment is to provide transcripts with a minimum accuracy of 99% for clear recordings, and for this we need a cutting-edge process. We employ the latest audio software and equipment to optimize sound quality and accuracy. If we find a problematic recording, we collaborate closely with our clients to extract the maximum information possible. Sometimes a poor-quality recording is all we have, but we will work with you on that to provide the best possible transcript.

Factor Three: Confidentiality

Our seasoned legal typing team, each with a minimum of five years of experience in the legal field, are well versed at managing confidential matters. Our team have all signed legally binding confidentiality agreements. All our team members are located in Canada, and therefore all our work falls directly under Canadian privacy and confidentiality laws.

If needed, we can also sign off on your own confidentiality agreement. Just email it through to the Project Manager for review before we begin. We can usually complete the sign-off process within 12 hours.

Factor Four: Security

The last thing you want is to have files scattered across AI software in a country with minimal privacy regulations. When you choose Transcript Heroes, your files will be securely stored on Toronto-based servers and transcribed by our team here in Canada. We never rely on AI software in any of our processes. The files will be encrypted both during transfer (SSL) and while in storage. Automatic file deletion occurs 60 days after upload, in compliance with our practices. Our entire workflow is subject to Canadian privacy laws.

Upon request, transcripts can be password protected and uploaded back to your servers or data-sharing folders. Simply share an external upload link to your folder with us. This is a common workflow we establish with a lot of our legal clients. We find it works well.

If the transcript is not required during a courtroom proceeding, one of our experienced legal secretaries will carry out the task of legal transcription.

COURT TRANSCRIPTS: If a court transcript is required, one of our offical court registered typists carries out the transcription. They are familiar with specific templates and court styles.
